HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - Earl and Pat Hart of Bethel as they celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
SOUTH WOODSTOCK — Condolences are going out to the family of Sylvia M. Douglass. Love and prayers to each family member.
Yogi and I were among the many who helped Earl and Pat Hart celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Woodstock school on January 29. The party was arranged by their sons and their wives. We met many that we knew and had not seen for several years. A buffet lunch was set up for all to enjoy.
Well, we ended up having 13" of snow from the two storms last week and they are predicting another one for Saturday of this week and two more for next week.
Welcome home Peggy R.; glad you are feeling better and getting out and about.
My friend Ginny Luneau will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Hope you have a great day. Much love to you and Ernie.
Yogi and I enjoyed a great day running errands and paying monthly bills today, enjoying our lunch outside in the parking lot, watching traffic and enjoying the sun.
Yogi is out for the evening and I am enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and watching some TV shows that I like and enjoying a cup of hot tea as I write my weekly column.
On Sunday, February 13, the Down East Country Music Association will be holding a Country Valentine Show at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls. Entertainment will be provided by the 2010 award winners who will be traveling to Pigeon Forge, TN in March for the NACMAI competitions.
The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the show starts at 12 noon. There will be a 50/50 drawing and raffles and the food bar will be open. Come on down and support your favorite entertainer/performer.
Happy Valentines Day to our readers - have a great weekend.
Quote of the week: "I would rather have one rose (carnation) and a kind word from one good and true friend while I am here than to have a whole truckload when I'm gone."
Shirley, I still have the pretty red rose you and Dean gave me over a year ago. It sits on my fireplace where I enjoy it every day. Special thanks; love you.
