Bryant Pond news
BRYANT POND — Good morning. I am writing this from Norway Rehab Center, and if you have any news you wish in the paper for six to eight weeks, please send it right to the paper. Thanks.
I will write what I have here.
Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, the Prayer Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. The church Christmas program is on Sunday, December 19, at 6 p.m. December 26 is Pastor Hodgkins' last Sunday.
Franklin Grange 124 had a good meeting, Christmas program and potluck dinner on December 4. I am told they have started on the porch to fix it.
The Historical Society members enjoyed a Christmas party at Market Square Health Care Center. They had beef stew and sandwiches and gifts were exchanged. Members decided not to meet in January and February, but to resume meeting after the worst winter weather is over. Larry will try to keep the news items current, however. Do join them in the spring. The museum has some old phones and a switchboard to recall the glory days of the crank phones. Ruby Emery has some of its history in her research. In fact, Ruby's paper includes practically everything relating to Woodstock history.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
