BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
It was a nice day on Monday, Memorial Day. The program and parade were well attended and that's always nice to see.
Company at the Ken Hoyts this weekend were Maggie Hoyt and friend Whitney from Washington, D.C. who came for breakfast on Saturday, Ray Crockett, Grayson Wakefield and David Crockett who came and did some repairs for us on Saturday and Sunday, JoAnn and Shawn Crockett came on Monday for a cookout plus Beth, Steve and Marybeth Hoover, Kayla Bickford, James and Charlene Hoyt, Crystal Cash, Bobby Hoyt and Leatrice Chase.
The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet at 11:30 a.m. on June 7, today, at the Kowloon Village Chinese Restaurant in Bethel.
Remember the Woodstock High School Alumni Banquets is on June 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall on the Gore Road in Locke Mills. Special guests are the classes of 1942, 1952, 1962, and Telstar High School seniors from Woodstock and Greenwood. Hope to see you there.
The Woodstock Historical Society will meet on the third Saturday this month, which is June 16, starting with a 6 p.m. supper at the museum.
Judith Grover Tent 17 will meet on June 14 for a regular meeting at the Grange Hall.
On Thursday, May 31, three members of the Daughters of Union Veterans presented Lincoln coin dollars and certificates of appreciation to the fifth grade at Woodstock Elementary School for the Memorial Day essays they wrote. Rachel MacKillop won the contest and read her essay at the Memorial Day program. All the essays were very good this year.
