More in Towns
LOVELL — Two fires in town in one week. A home on Smarts Hill that the Roccos were renting was lost on Monday, February 28, and on March 3, a house had tremendous water and smoke damage and a barn lost at 118 Main Street, the former Jerry Urghart place. A father, mother and two children were left homeless. The cause is under investigation as of March 4.
Is anyone having problems with ants? My friend from Fryeburg had problems for a month or two and Russell and I have been for a month now. We also have a mouse that Russell saw on the counter a few days ago. Both problems are pesky.
Saturday night, Sunday all day and night and into Monday, March 5 to 7, it was rain, rain, rain. Glad it wasn’t all snow.
From Friday, March 4, to Sunday, March 7, our granddaughter Tanner Rose visited with us. We had a good time and enjoyed her very much. She is 15 years old and a sophomore at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Our son, her father Kevin, dropped by twice and her mother Shellie Swan and friend stopped in Friday, for a few minutes when they dropped Tanner off.
My cousin Candy Howard from Greenwood and I talk every day. I also hear from Mary Gagne, Virginia Weeks, Rebecca Ring and many others.
I have two appointments on Wednesday of this week in Bridgton. Hope there’s no rain or snow.

Happy birthday wishes to Heather Sawin on March 10, Willie Emery on March 14, John Carter on March 15, and Pat Stearns on March 19. Best wishes to all.
Pastor Alison Jacobs visited me on March 7. We had a great time. Thanks, Pastor Jacobs.

Sherry Pratt, Jaime, Julie and Kayla are going to the library after school.
I woke up on March 10, with two inches of snow on the ground and it was still snowing after noontime. The woodpeckers were feeding on the suet and I have seen chickadees and nuthatches on the seed feeder as well as our pesky red squirrel.
On Sunday, March 6, out Pastor, Alison Jacobs and her husband Joe, became members of the Lovell United Church of Christ. Pastor Jacobs is a wonderful person and minister and those who have come to know her lover her very much. We are so blessed to have her as our interim pastor.
Caller at our house this week was our son Kevin Allen on Thursday for a short while. I’ve received many phone calls from Lovell, Greenwood, Fryeburg, New Hampshire, California, Portland, New Jersey, and Lewiston. I am very fortunate to have so many friends in my life.
Don’t forget the Lovell United Church of Christ Ladies Circle flea market on March 19, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be available as well as baked goods, antiques, crafts, flea market items and furniture. For table rental or more information, contact Linda Libby at 925-3661.
