BRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, the Prayer Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. In March, a pie contest for men and women will be held with the date to be announced. A youth activity will be held on March 5, at 4 p.m. The men's prayer breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. in the fellowship hall on March 12.
Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens met at the town conference room on Thursday, February 3. A potluck lunch was enjoyed and Clint and Michelle Myers spoke and told about the culture in Abu Bhabi where they are working for a few years. Everyone found it very interesting. The next meeting is March 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Ledgeview Living Center with a dinner put on by the Ledgeview Auxiliary. The program will be Hugh Swan talking about hobos. New members are always welcome.
The Grange hopes to start their meetings in March if the weather permits.
The Historical Society hopes to start meetings in March.

On Saturday, February 12, Alice and Ken Hoyt hosted a belated Christmas party with her sister’s family. Present were Kenneth and Alice, Beth, Steve and Marybeth Hoover, JoAnn, David, Ray and Shawn Crockett, James, Charlene and Joseph Hoyt and friend Kelsey, Robert Hoyt, Leatrice and John Chase, Althea and Robert Stevens, Keith and Ashlyn Stevens, Garrett and Simon Chase, Jenny’s children, Andrew Chase, Ricky, Teresa, Hunter and friend Joey. After dinner a Yankee swap of gifts was held. Everyone seemed to have a good time and it was nice to have some little ones present.
Judith Grover, Tent 17, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, met on Monday evening, February 14, at the home of Alice Hoyt with eight people present. Vicky Myers filled in as chaplain. Vicky Myers was installed as senior vice president and Bessie House was installed as historian and council member 2 by President Michelle Cary.
Elsie Bonney reported that a letter about the monument enlargement will be in the town report. Anyone wishing to donate to this fund may send donations to: Alice Hoyt, P.O. Box 105, Bryant Pond, ME 04219.
A spring fever Bingo will be held by the American Legion for the monument fund on Friday, April 8.
The DUVCW will put on the April Senior Citizens dinner.
Michelle reported that she delivered valentines to the Veterans Home.
It was discussed under new business to raise the dues in 2012.
23 calls were reported and Jane Wardwell is gaining.
The next meeting will be March 14, at Alice’s.
