LOVELL — Hi, folks. Bitter cold weather we have been experiencing along with snowstorms too.
Steve Blood stopped by for a few minutes to see his mother Barbra Blood on Hoss Hill where she resides winters in her daughter and son-in-law’s apartment, Bruce and Pat Thurston. Barbra has her same home phone and address as at her own home.
I ordered two boxes of caramel delight Girl Scout cookies from Rebecca Mann the other day. Have you ordered your Girl Scout cookies yet? If you want to order and a Girl Scout hasn’t seen you, give Rebecca Mann a call or any Girl Scout leader or Girl Scout.
I started down with this darn flu that’s going around on January 24, and am still recuperating.
Congratulations to third cousin Thomas Richards for catching the biggest fish Saturday, January 22. Uncle Yvon, Cousin Jade and Grampa Jeff took Thomas.
Jade Morin went “freezin’ for a reason” on January 23, at Highland lake.
My cousin Candy Howard is down with a cold as of January 26. Hope she feels better soon.
Cousin Sonya Millett has been going to grandson Cameron Richards’ basketball games every weekend.
Grampa Jeff goes also unless he works or has to go with one of the other grandchildren or his youngest daughter Melody.
Valerie and Frank Gendron had company recently and are expecting more from Rhode Island. They love skiing and Val’s hospitality too.
It’s the last of January and very cold but sunny outside. My husband Russell is off to work until he has to take me to my doctor’s appointment in the afternoon.
Hope you all had a nice weekend — we did. I lay low with some cleaning, knitting, writing and phone calling while Russell helped clean, cook, work on bathroom finishes, went to the dump, Fryeburg, and around and visited a few minutes with Peter and Mary Gagne in Fryeburg.
Frank and Val Gendron had company this weekend along with Mike Clark dropping in.
Gloria Buffington had her granddaughter Melissa and her two young sons, Nathan and Cameron, for the weekend.
Dennis Buffington Jr. is looking for shoveling roofs and odd jobs to do for people as well as work in the woods. Call 925-1020 and leave a message. He is a good young, hardworking man — cute too and very quiet.
Mike and Mary Welch went to Portland, on Saturday, to attend their daughter Sarah’s dance recital.
Robin Chiarrello from New Jersey, called me on January 31.
Linda Drew stopped by on January 31, with groceries for her mom Rebecca Ring. They talked about genealogy.
A lot of folks are out on snowmobiles now and the skiers seem to be happy too.
Russell and coworker Randy were busy shoveling roofs and decks at Severance on the crisp February 1 morning, getting ready for the big storm. Hope you were all ready for it.
Stay warm, healthy and safe.
Call me with news and happenings at 925-1800.
