NORWAY — Norway Lake is the place to be on January 29 and 30 for the Norway Trackers Snowmobile Club Drag Racing, Radar Runs and Chowder Fest. The event starts at 9 a.m. each day on the ice by the Little Red School House. For more information, visit www.norwaytrackers.com.
Dogs are to be licensed by January 31. Dogs that are spayed/neutered are $6, others are $11 and kennels are $42. There is a limit of 10 dogs per kennel. Please bring your rabies certificate with you. There will be a $25 late fee assessed after January 31.
The Norway Recreation Department will partner with WinterKids for a Snow Shoe Clinic on Thursday, February 17 from 3-5 p.m. Registration forms can be found at the Town Office and on the website.
The Norway Recreation Department will sponsor a public Ice Skating Party on Friday, February 18 from 6:30-9 p.m., for all ages, at the Town ice rink on Cottage Street. There will be a potluck cookie table for refreshments; participants are asked to bring cookies to share. The ice rink lights are on until 10 p.m. every night the ice is good for skating. The rink is cleared of snow by volunteers, so any time it snows, if you have a few minutes to help it would be great.
The Norway Recreation Department Kindergarten Basketball Program starts March 1. Registration forms are at the Town Office and on the website.
