HARRISON — Harrison Rec. has announced its 2011 winter activities and events.

Coed Adult Basketball - Mondays 6-8 p.m. Ages 18+

Harrison School gym - sneakers required - follows school calendar

Coed Adult Volleyball - Wednesdays 6-8 p.m. Ages 18+

Harrison School gym - follows school calendar

Coed Teen Basketball - Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. grades seven-11

Harrison School gym - sneakers required - follows school calendar

X-Country Ski Program - H.E.S fourth/fifth graders - Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 p.m.

Crystal Lake Park: January 11, 18 and 25 and February 1, 8 and 15

Skis, boots and poles provided or bring your own. Cost: $5 Hot cocoa

Super Bowl Skate Fest - Sunday, February 6 at Bridgton Academy Ice Rink 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Free for all Harrison residents. Hot dogs, chili, brownies, hot cocoa and Gatorade

Come have fun before the kick off. Helmets required for ages eight and under.

Snow Tubing - Oxford Plains Snow Tubing Park - Monday, February 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m - Cost: $16

Bus leaves Town Office parking lot at 9:15 a.m. Release waivers can be picked up at Town Office.

Winter Fest/Family Ice Fishing Derby - Friday (Children’s Handicapped Derby), Saturday and Sunday, February 25, 26 and 27

Fishing Derby “Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs” with prizes and raffles, ice harvesting, radar run, ice sculpting, sledding, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobile rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, sleigh rides, breakfast, suppers, concession: brochure will be available with details.
