OXFORD HILLS — Eight local athletes brought home medals at the recent Special Olympic Winter Games held at Sugarloaf. Alyssa Anderson, Bruce Coffin, Don Dudley, Seth Lord, Sarah Paladino, Tracey Raymond, James Rollins and Clifford Skillings, all Special Olympians from The Progress Center, participated in the event bringing home many medals as well as great memories of a wonderful time. Congratulations to all of the participants for a job well done.

  • Snowshoe 50M Dash: Alyssa Anderson and Clifford Skillings – 4th
  • Snowshoe 100M Dash: Alyssa Anderson – 5th; Seth Lord – Bronze; Clifford Skillings - Gold
  • Snowshoe 50M Dash: Seth Lord – 5th
  • Snowshoe 25M Dash: Bruce Coffin – Silver
  • Alpine Giant Slalom: Don Dudley – Silver; Tracey Raymond – Bronze; James Rollins - Bronze
  • Alpine Super G: Don Dudley – Bronze; Tracey Raymond – 6th; James Rollins - Bronze
  • Alpine Slalom: Don Dudley – 6th; Tracy Raymond – Gold; James Rollins - Bronze
  • Nordic 100M Ski: Sarah Paladino – Gold

The Progress Center Special Olympic team wants to extend a big ‘Thank You’ to their coaches: Manda Payne, Matt Hess and Ken Ruff. They also want to thank Fred Cummings for his help.
