Hebron girls' shut out Pingree 5-0

SOUTH HAMILTON, MA - Hebron Academy girls' varsity ice hockey team played the Pingree School recently with a final score of Hebron 5, Pingree 0.

In the first period, Jackie Aaskov scored for Hebron, unassisted, at 6:22.

Second period goals for Hebron were scored by Talya Bent, assisted by Natalie Maciejewski, at 12:16; Sara Grover, assisted by Bent and Maciejewski, at 8:02 and Chelsea Boucher, assisted by Sarah Markey, at 0:26.

In the third period, Bent scored for Hebron, assisted by Ally Strachan, at 6:19.

Hebron goalie Mariah Mosher had 29 saves; Pingree's Elizabeth Smith had 45 saves.

Hebron had a strong road win against host Pingree School. A three-goal second period gave the Lumberjacks a comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the final period when Hebron added one final goal. Talya Bent led the team with two goals and an assist and Jackie Aaskov, Sara Grover and Chelsea Boucher each scored a goal as well. Natalie Maciejewski earned two assists, and Sarah Markey and Ally Strachan each had one. Mariah Mosher earned the shut-out in goal, recording 29 saves on the day.
