Hebron girls host Hyde

HEBRON - Hebron Academy girls' JV Soccer hosted the Hyde School recently in a MAISAD semifinal game with a final score of Hebron 3, Hyde 2. Hebron had 13 shots; Hyde had nine. Hyde goalie Val Digregorio had 10 saves; for Hebron, Sara Grover had one save and Christina English had six saves.

Julia Schneider and Abbie Small each scored first period goals for the Lumberjacks to give Hebron the 2-0 halftime lead. Hyde answered quickly in the second period, scoring two goals in a four-minute period to tie the game. Fifteen minutes later Mar Bartolomeo-Narbon knocked home what would prove to be the game-winner on a direct kick that hit the cross bar and dropped in. Hebron then survived a late break-away by Hyde to seal the win. Sara Grover made one save in goal in the first period while Christina English recorded six stops in the second period. With this win, the Lumberjacks move onto the MAISAD Championship game at Kents Hill on Friday, November 5.
