Met Life wins Chamber tournament

OXFORD HILLS - The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of the 24th Annual Leon Truman Golf Tournament.

First place gross: MetLife - Brian Hamlin, Steve Jones, Joe Baker and Perry Bajer, with a score of 114.

Second place gross: Northeast Bank - Chris Delamater, Pete Connell, Jim Delamater and Tom Wyman, with a score of 116.

First place net: Grover Gundrilling - Gene Corriveau, David Berry, Brad Demers and Mark McKay, with a score of 100.

Second place net: Maine Machine Products - Bruce Fox, Berney Roberts, Corri Reynolds and Bobby James, with a score of 102.

Putting Contest-Paris Hill: winner receives a one-year membership to Paris Hill Country Club - Brent Wyman.

Putting Contest-Norway: winner receives a one-year membership to Norway Country Club - Walter Reed.

On the Green-Norway: winner receives a Whitewater Rafting Trip-Bobby James.

Longest Drive-Norway, Women: Rita Perrault

Longest Drive-Norway, Men: Ryan Laverdiere

Longest Drive-Paris, Women: Bobbi Bickford

Longest Drive-Paris, Men: Ben Newman

Closest to the Pin, Norway, Women: Robin Wilkins - 12'6"

Closest to the Pin, Norway, Men: Joe Baker - 17"

Helicopter Golf Ball Drop Winners: $1,000 to Curtis Cole, in the hole; $500 to Charlene Chase, 5.5 inches and $250 to Galen Cook, 6.6 inches.
