Hebron 2, Kents, 3

HEBRON - Hebron Academy girls' JV soccer team hosted Kents Hill School recently with a final score of Hebron 2, Kents Hill 3.

In the first period, Brett Conley scored for Kents Hill in the 23rd minute.

Second period goals were scored by Mikayla Hartford for Kents Hill in the 35th minute; Sam Eubanks for Kents Hill in the 48th minute; Janelle Tardif for Hebron in the 52nd minute and Jenna Martyn-Fisher for Hebron, assisted by Charlotte Middleton, in the 62nd minute.

Hebron had three shots; Kents Hill had eight. Hebron had three corners; Kents Hill had five.

Hebron goalies Sara Grover and Christina English had five saves. Cassie Loyd had one save for Kents Hill.

Hebron’s record is now 3-7-2.

The visiting Huskies took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break and added two goals early in the second period before the Lumberjacks answered to narrow the Kents Hill lead. Janelle Tardif put Hebron's first point on the board at the 52-minute mark and Jenna Martyn-Fisher (assisted by Charlotte Middleton) added a goal of her own 10 minutes later. Sara Grover and Christina English combined for five saves in goal.
