Panther track season begins

POLAND — Panther Track Club's 2012 season began Monday, April 23 with the first practice and registration at Poland Regional High School Track and Field Facility. Practice continues through the season every Monday and Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m.

The Panther Track Club is for children ages five to 14 by December 31. Those approaching 15 may participate as long as they are still 14 years of age on August 11.

Fees are $50 for the first child and $35 each for all siblings. This fee covers registration with the Maine USA Track & Field Association and the Panther Track Club.

Meet fees are no longer included in the registration fee. Athletes only pay for the meets they attend and shall pay no more than a total of $10 for meet fees for the season.

Registration forms will be available at all practices through May 24. It is now required that a copy of the athlete's birth certificate accompany his/her registration form.
