Youth ice fishing at Winter Fest

HARRISON — The Friendly Village of Harrison Winter Fest, featuring the second annual Family Ice Fishing Derby, will be held February 25, 26 and 27.

The Youth Ice fishing event is held in partnership with "Hooked on Fishing - Not on Drugs." Grand prize is a youth lifetime fishing license. There will be second and third prizes for each category of fish caught, weight determination. Each child under 15 will receive a gift bag or bait and bucket with bait at the boat launch. Parents do not need to purchase a fishing license to help their children. Volunteers will be on hand to help teach children and families.

There will be burgers, hot dogs, hot chocolate and a warm fire at the boat launch.

A Sportsmen Show will be held at the Harrison Town Office.
