Ice fishing derby planned in Otisfield

OTISFIELD — The New Outpost on Route 121 is sponsoring the Town of Otisfield Recreation Department ice fishing derby Saturday and Sunday, February 19 and 20.

The derby is open to fishing on Thompson Lake and Pleasant Lake only. All fish must be weighed in at the New Outpost between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The derby is open to all ages. Participants must sign up at the New Outpost and pay a $10 entry fee.

Prizes will be awarded for the three biggest togue by weight and three biggest bass by weight. First prize for togue is $175 cash, second prize is $100 cash and third is a $25 Cabela’s gift certificate. First prize for bass is $75 cash, second is $50 cash and third is 12 pint size Bud Light Bowl 2011 glasses.
