Hebron boys defeat Brewster

HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity hockey team hosted Brewster Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 6, Brewster 3.

In the first period, Adam Devine scored for Hebron, assisted by Lou Caraglia, at 7:20.

Second period goals were scored by Caraglia for Hebron, assisted by Devine, at 9:42; Andrew Graham for Hebron, assisted by Andrew Crawford and Chris Taylor, at 6:57; Will Fix for Brewster, assisted by Freddy Tansberg, at 1:32 (power-play goal) and Drake Hart for Hebron, assisted by Shane Hearn, at 1:00.

In the third period, goals were scored by Hearn for Hebron, assisted by Mike Settipani, at 14:23; Chris Drakos for Brewster, assisted by Brennan Shaw, at 9:37 (power-play goal) and Taylor for Hebron, assisted by Graham, at 0:19.

Brewster goalie Josh Hickey had 30 saves on 36 shots; Hebron's Guillaume Belanger Therien had 28 saves on 31 shots.

The Lumberjacks took a 1-0 lead into the first break, increased that lead to 4-2 at the end of the second, and matched Brewster's two goals in the final period to earn the 6-3 win. Adam Devine put Hebron's first point on the board, and Lou Caraglia, Andrew Graham, Drake Hart, Shane Hearn and Chris Taylor each scored as well. Lou, Adam, Shane, Andrew, Mike Settipani, Andrew Crawford and Chris Taylor notched assists and Guillaume Belanger Therien had a solid game in net.
