Feb 21, 2013 12:00 amNORTH NORWAY — Seems my computer ills are cured for now. Now for operator errors, I make no promises. Cannot remember what I have written about recently so please forgive me if I chew my cabbage twice.
We had a Super Sunday luncheon at Pat and Charlie’s with nothing to eat that was doctor approved. But it was good. All the usual suspects attended, Frank, Mary, Paul, Brenda, baby Luke, Deven and Judi, Betty and Dell and of course Pat and Charlie.

Feb 21, 2013 12:00 amBRYANT POND — Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Woodstock Historical Society meeting was canceled for February, because of the weather. The next meeting will be March 9, at the Town Conference Room. Larry Bonney will be doing the program on some of Woodstock's early settlements.

Feb 21, 2013 12:00 amNORWAY — There will be a public Ice Skating Party on Friday, February 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the town ice rink on Cottage Street. There will be a potluck refreshments table; please bring veggies, cookies or munchies to share. Please join in.

Feb 14, 2013 12:00 amNORWAY — On Saturday, February 16, there will be a Child Safety Seat Inspection from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Norway Fire Station. Later in the day, the Norway Firemen’s Relief Association will have a turkey supper from 5-6 p.m.
The Town Office will be closed on Monday, February 18, in observance of Presidents' Day.

Feb 14, 2013 12:00 amSOUTH WOODSTOCK — Friday, February 8. Well dear readers, looks like we are in for some serious snow, they are predicting up to 18 to 20 inches before it’s done sometime Saturday.
This will truly make the snowmobilers and skiers happy, as for me well, doesn’t make much difference as long as some of our local businesses benefit from it, and most kids love the snow so they will be happy too.
The birds are also busy at the feeders this morning. I have a cardinal out amongst the chickadees and nuthatches.

On Saturday, February 16, there will be a valentine dinner for adults at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. On Sunday, February 17, the church will celebrate Heritage Day. Some are dressing as they did years ago. A potluck lunch will follow the morning service and afternoon service. Everyone is welcome.

Our friend Betty Davis is back home after spending six weeks at the Norway Rehabilitation Center recovering from pneumonia and the flu. So good to have you back home my friend.
Yogi had a doctor’s appointment this morning so while he is gone I can get some things done here and get this in to the office before noon.

Jan 31, 2013 12:00 amSOUTH WOODSTOCK — Brrrr - it’s minus one degrees here at 4 a.m.(Friday, January 25) - the wind has finally died down some and not howling like it was all evening.
I so hope you are all dressing in layers so as to keep toasty warm as you spend time outdoors. I do not go out in this bitter cold weather unless I absolutely have to, doctor’s appointments and booking dates are a must so I have to venture out.
