      Sunday services at the Baptist Church are Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.   The Youth Group will go bowling on at 4 p.m. on June 4, and the ladies luncheon is at noon on June 11.

      The Woodstock-Greenwood Senior Citizens will meet today, June 2, at the 4-H Camp in Bryant Pond.  Dinner is served at 11 a.m. with the meeting and a tour to follow.

      NORTH NORWAY — Perhaps there is a drought somewhere in this country but I haven't heard about it. In some ways this weather is just as bad as being snowbound in winter except for warmer temperatures. Cannot get out and do anything without getting wet. Had an appointment with my eye doctor in Portland and it was worse down there. Lucky they had a canopy so I could get out without being soaked. If you get to feeling sorry for yourself as you gimp along, go to any doctors and observe the population, most of which are worse off than you are.

Daniel Strout and Jay Morris will be at the church this summer as interns with Pastor Fuller. The Youth Group will go bowling at 4 p.m. on June 4, and the ladies luncheon is at noon on June 11.

      LOVELL — On May 11, Vicky Meserve called on me and did my hair. Heather Lang called on Amy Sterns and family on May 11.

      Belated happy birthday to Kathy Adams in Stoneham, and Dennis Buffington Jr. from Lovell.

      If you receive the Sunday paper, please drop off or save your unused coupons for me as I clip them for eight families plus. Russell or Heather can pick them up if you can’t drop them off. I’d deeply appreciate it.

      Meg Dyer went to Virginia to attend her niece’s college graduation from May 5, to her return home the evening of May 9.

      My love and prayers are with my husband and all his family on the death of his brother, Ralph Hoyt. We would like to thank everyone for the cards and prayers during this time.
