A great day to enjoy with the last minute shopping and other errands to get done before the big day. I am really glad today is the shortest day of the year, now we can start getting more light longer each day. And that I am thankful for.

Some of you will be basking in the glow of All Things Done; gifts are all wrapped and bowed, refrigerators and counters are filled with Christmas goodies for neighbors and friends, and you and your family will be snuggling by an open fire roasting chestnuts and drinking eggnog, or a spiked hot chocolate, or whatever Christmas cheer you have on hand.

Dec 22, 2011 12:00 amLOVELL — Even though I am not fully responsible for spelling errors, I wish to apologize to Ron not Rob and Ron not Ken, Cliff Rowe, not Cliff Lowe and also for the error the paper published about the November 15 trip to Bridgton for my doctor’s appointment and the about going to Fryeburg, etc. which did happen to Russ on November 16.
It ran into each other. I have to write my news by hand as I have no computer and so perhaps the person who reads and redoes my column gets confused or can’t read my writing. Oh well, sorry.
