  • South Woodstock

SOUTH WOODSTOCK — Happy New Year dear readers. Here we are this 6th day of January 2012 at 7:40 a.m. and it's a very dark snowy day with 22 degrees. The snow is real light, almost like rain, maybe it won't add up to much or make the roads slippery.

A very quiet Christmas day for us; we joined my sister Lorri and her friend Gary for the Christmas dinner at the Congregational Church in Paris. Also joining us was Bert L. and Alberta K. and Mary. Got to meet and talk with many who attended. It's always great seeing those who get out and about for these town functions.

  • Norway Town Hall

NORWAY — The Town Office will be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

If you are an animal lover, you will agree this is money well spent. A dog license tag will identify your dog so that he can be returned to you in the event he gets lost.

A great day to enjoy with the last minute shopping and other errands to get done before the big day. I am really glad today is the shortest day of the year, now we can start getting more light longer each day. And that I am thankful for.
