  • Baseball Hall of Fame seeks nominations

    YARMOUTH — Nominations (include a resume) for induction in 2011 into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame are now being accepted and may be sent to Maine Baseball Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 1062, Yarmouth, ME 04096 or e-mailed to ddouglas@douglastitle.com.

    The deadline for submitting applications is February 4.

    Founded in 1969, the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame honors players, coaches, umpires, organizers and benefactors from all corners of the state who have achieved prominence in, or made valuable contributions to, baseball in Maine.

  • Hebron JV hockey shuts out NYA

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' JV hockey team hosted NYA recently with a final score of Hebron 9, NYA 0.

    In the first period, goals for Hebron were scored by Zack Day, assisted by Tom Cummings, at 0:20; Michael Bouchard, unassisted, at 16:52; Dave Mavrovic, assisted by Ryan Ratsep, at 17:34; Greg Labbe, assisted by Tavis Gibbons and Bouchard, at 19:10 and Samir Poundja-Bertrand, assisted by Bryce Richmond, at 19:47.

  • Hebron hockey bows to South Kent

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity hockey team hosted South Kent School recently with a final score of Hebron 3, South Kent 4.

    In the first period, Athanasopolous scored for South Kent, assisted by Anderson, at 16:25 and Chris Taylor scored for Hebron, assisted by Todd Bannerman, at 16:14.

    Second period goals were scored by Joey Collins for Hebron, assisted by Shane Hearn and Mike Settipani, at 15:13; Manno for South Kent, assisted by Gostisbehere, at 14:51 and Andrew Graham for Hebron, assisted by Bannerman, at 8:15.

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy girls' varsity basketball team hosted Traip Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 49, Traip 75

  • Hebron Academy athletes recognized

    HEBRON ATHLETES RECOGNIZED — Hebron Academy’s fall athletes were recognized for their accomplishments in cross-country, field hockey, golf, and soccer with awards at a recent all-school assembly. Honors included team Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Most Improved Player (MIP) awards, Coach's Awards for special contributions to a team, and All-MAISAD Team, a league award given by the Maine Association of Independent Schools Athletic Directors.
