  • Hebron boys score victory over Bridgton

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity hockey team hosted Bridgton Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 5, Bridgton 1.

    Scoring for Hebron in the first period were Josh Brodeur, unassisted, at 2:12 and Todd Bannerman, unassisted, at 17:01.

    In the second period, Mike Settipani scored for Hebron, assisted by Brodeur, at 2:20 (power play goal).

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy girls' varsity basketball team hosted Waynflete recently with a final score of Hebron 50 Waynflete 73.

  • Snowshoe race to be held in Hebron

    HEBRON — Hebron Hills Snowshoe Classic, presented by acidoticRacing and hosted by Hebron Academy, will be held Sunday, January 30 at Hebron Academy, 339 Paris Road (Route 119) in Hebron. This is a 3.3 mile snowshoe race over rolling cross-country trail and twisting single track.

    Entry fee is $15 pre-registration (on-line at http://www.acidoticracing.com/HebronHills.html) or $20 day of race. Registration is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Hebron Academy Athletic Center; start time is 11 a.m. Awards will be presented to age group winners and categories of the Federation Cup.

    OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Hebron Academy girls' varsity basketball team played Old Orchard Beach recently with a final score of of OOB 46, Hebron 33.

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity basketball team hosted Middlesex recently with a final score of Hebron 27, Middlesex 71.

  • OHCHS teams are looking good

    OXFORD HILLS -- Here at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School the winter sports programs have taken flight. Almost midway through the season there are mixed results within the teams.

    The JV Boys Basketball team has a record of 7-2 and is coached by Joesph Oufiero (Coach O). The team is lead by leading scorer Alex Ferguson, and leading rebounder Jake Plummer.

    No play-offs for the JV league so its goal is to get better everyday and work harder then everyone else, according to Coach O.

  • Skis and boards hit the slopes
