  • OCHS Alpine Slalom

    HIGHEST FINISH — Matt Michaud, who finished 13th in the slalom, was the highest finish for an OH boy at the KVAC/MVC ski championships in Farmington, Saturday.

  • Hebron girls fall to GPC in basketball

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy girls' varsity basketball team hosted Greater Portland Christian recently with a final score of Hebron 20, GPC 36.

  • Basketball freshmen defeated

    OXFORD HILLS — Oxford Hills High Comprehensive High School Freshman Boys Basketball team was defeated by Mt. Blue in a close, competitive game last week.

    At the final buzzer, the score was 39 -36.

    Boone Frechette and Jack Littlefield were the leading scorers for OHCHS. Frechette had eight points, as did Littlefield.

  • Youth basketball results

    AREA — In a recent fifth/sixth grade boys' game in the Western Maine Youth Basketball League, Oxford Hills defeated Turner 38-24. For Oxford Hills, scorers included Chris St. Pierre with 15 points and Hayden Page with six points.

    For Turner, scorers included Tim Albert with 20 points and Bryce Hudson with five points. Oxford Hills' record is 4-5; Turner's record is also 4-5.

  • Freshman defeated

    SOUTH PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School freshman boys basketball team hosted Cony High School recently with a final score of Cony 44 Oxford Hills 41.

    Patrick Macro led OHCHS with 18 points and Jared Eastman had 10 points.

  • Hebron varsity girls tie with Berwick

    BERWICK — Hebron Academy girls' varsity hockey team played Berwick Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 2, Berwick 2.

    There were no goals scored in the first period. In the second period, Hebron's Ashley Conrad scored at 4:22 with an assist by Taylor Teixeira, Hebron's Teixeira scored at 3:45 with an assist by Haley Grimmer and Berwick's Aimee Briand scored at 2:46 with an assist by Shannon Farrell.

    In the third period, Berwick's Leigh Chilton scored at 6:18 with an assist by Natasia Burzynski.

    Hebron goalie Kelli Klassen had 22 saves.

  • Hebron varsity boys edged out by Berwick

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity hockey team hosted Berwick Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 3, Berwick 4.

    Second period goals were scored by Shane Hearn for Hebron, assisted by Mike Kelley and Kale Johnstone, at 17:41; Michaud for Berwick, assisted by Rodgers, at 16:39; Roberts for Berwick, assisted by Gallant, at 16:31 and Sam Cloutier for Hebron, assisted by Chris Rolli and Hearn, at 4:06 (power play goal).

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy girls' varsity basketball team hosted Kents Hill School recently woth a final score of Hebron 32 Kents Hill 59.

  • Andrews inducted into Hall of Fame

    AUBURN — Glenn Andrews of Harrison is among the five individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, as announced by the Selection Committee of the Maine Motorsports Hall of Fame recently. The Class of 2012 is made up of three race drivers, a car owner/crew chief and one who wrote about the excitement on the track.

    Bruce Elder, co-chairman of the Selection Committee and vice-president of the Maine Vintage Race Car Association, announced the members of the Class of 2012 at the General Meeting of the Maine Vintage Race Car Association held on November 9.
