  • Hebron varsity boys edged out by Berwick

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy boys' varsity hockey team hosted Berwick Academy recently with a final score of Hebron 3, Berwick 4.

    Second period goals were scored by Shane Hearn for Hebron, assisted by Mike Kelley and Kale Johnstone, at 17:41; Michaud for Berwick, assisted by Rodgers, at 16:39; Roberts for Berwick, assisted by Gallant, at 16:31 and Sam Cloutier for Hebron, assisted by Chris Rolli and Hearn, at 4:06 (power play goal).

    SOUTH PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School freshman boys basketball team hosted Cony High School recently with a final score of Cony 44 Oxford Hills 41.

    Patrick Macro led OHCHS with 18 points and Jared Eastman had 10 points.

  • Harrison Schussboomers program

    BRIDGTON — The place for kids to have their "turns" is right at Shawnee Peak! Harrison Schussboomers Skiers and Riders get as many turns as they can get in, every Wednesday.

    The program is well underway and everyone is progressing right along with the help from volunteers and Shawnee instructors. Awards for accomplishments, helpfulness and fantastic job were given out this week to Kira Keniston, Isabelle Maxfield, Diego Roy and Lucas Gosselin.

  • Sled dog races planned for Feb. 18-19

    SOUTH BRIDGTON — The Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Sled Dog Races scheduled for February 18 and 19 at Five Field Farm in South Bridgton are set to go as planned.

    Up to 50 sled dog teams from the Down East Sled Dog Club will compete for points in races sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association.

    BRUNSWICK — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School freshman boys basketball team played at Brunswick recently with a final score of Brunswick 49 Oxford Hills 26. Jared Eastman had eight points and Demetrius Rodriguez had seven points.

    The Vikings went 14-14 from the free throw line.

    PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School freshman boys basketball team hosted Erskine recently with a final score of Oxford Hills 33 Erskine 29.

  • Norway Triathlon registration up and running

    NORWAY — Mark White, race director for the Norway Triathlon, confirms that registration for the 2012 Triathlon was up and running at active.com on February 1, and that athletes registered on-line the first day.

    Anyone interested in registering as a team or individual should get their registration in as soon as possible. You may register on-line, or download and mail in registration form from www.norwaytri.com, or contact the trust at 739-2124 for a hard copy.
