Jones Dance Band to play at American Legion
Dec 02, 2010 12:00 amSOUTH PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will be playing at the South Paris American Legion Hall on Church Street on Friday, December 3 and 10, and Saturday, December 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. They also will be playing on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31, from 8 to 12:30 p.m. The New Year’s dance is $12.50 per person and the buffet is $7 per person. Waterford World's Fair to hold Holiday Dance

Christmas is Sharing not to be missed

The concert is a major fundraiser for the RightStart program which helps provide a Christmas for teens, ages 13 to 18 and living in the area of Oxford Hills. All proceeds go directly to gifts for these young people, who otherwise may not experience the spirit of the holidays.

Some of his most notable ones include Top Gun, Crimson Tide, and Man on Fire. His new film, Unstoppable, is Scott’s return to his roots as a class-A action director and the result doesn’t disappoint. Most action movies like this work best when released in the summer season, so it’s unusual to see this released during the Thanksgiving season.

Tree lighting, carols and cocoa
Dec 02, 2010 12:00 amBOLSTERS MILLS - On Sunday evening, December 5 at 7 p.m. the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will be hosting a Bolsters Mills Village Tree lighting with carols to be sung on the corner of Plains Road and Bolsters Mills Road. Villagers and others are invited to come and join in to celebrate this miraculous and wonderful season with voices loud.
The caroling and tree lighting will be held rain, snow or clear, so dress appropriately and remember to bring a flashlight. Afterward, everyone is invited to return to the church and share cookies and cocoa and warm fellowship.
