  • The Metropolitan Opera's "Rigoletto" Live in HD at the PAC

    FRYEBURG — The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center continues its Metropolitan Opera Live in HD 2012-13 season with "Rigoletto" on Saturday, February 16, from 1-4:30 p.m.

    Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors (65+) and $18 for students and are available for purchase online at www.fryeburgacademy.org/pac or by calling the Box Office at 935-9232. The theater is located at 18 Bradley Street on the campus of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg. Parking is free.

    BRIDGTON — Marci Starr and E.G. Roth will present a concert at The Yoga House in Bridgton on Sunday, February 10 at 4 p.m. in celebration of their new musical collaboration and the release of their CD “Chakral Energy” combining Marci’s crystal bowls and Elizabeth’s harp.

    NORWAY — Got the winter doldrums? For a sure fire cure, come to the Norway Memorial Library at 7:30 on Saturday, February 9, to hear “For the Love of a Song, II,” an evening of music featuring 12 talented Western Maine singers.

    “For the Love of a Song, II” is the second show in a series that is unique because the performers choose one of their favorite songs to sing. These personal selections range from pop, country, historical and original songs.

    DENMARK — Valentines Day is fast approaching, bringing with it another cabaret show from the Denmark Arts Center, performed by a select group whose talent evolves to higher planes of expression every year because of steadfast effort, joy and accomplishment.

    Directed by Lillian Lee Morse at the piano, the shows are scheduled for Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. The themes are happy love, sad love, funny love, non-love; the styles embrace oldies, popular-bluesy standards, and poignant moments from the Concert and Broadway stage.
