Dam Jam volunteers needed
Mar 28, 2013 12:00 amDENMARK — The Denmark Arts Center is looking for any and all interested in volunteering for the annual waterfront music festival “The Dam Jam.” Though not for many months (the awesome fest is going to be on July 27), they are already trying to organize volunteers as they will definitely be needed.

Grant awarded for jazz quartet
Mar 21, 2013 12:00 amBETHEL — The Mahoosuc Arts Council has been awarded a grant for $2,700 from the New England Foundation for the Arts through the New England States Touring Program to support the presentation of Syncopation, an a capella jazz quartet sensation from Boston. Syncopation will perform in April as part of the council’s annual Gould and Telstar Performing Arts Series.

Milltown Road Show concert

Oz the Great and Powerful (Walt Disney Pictures)

Only one other film explored the land of Oz a little more, and that was Disney's 1985 "sequel" Return to Oz.
This year, the studio once again tackles the classic fantasy land with its own prequel that explores the origins of the title character in Oz the Great and Powerful from Sam Raimi, director of the Evil Dead and Spider-Man trilogies.
