  • WMAG announces sponsors; new Early Bird registration date set

    NORWAY — Western Maine Art Group has announced sponsors for the artist prizes for the 2013 Norway Arts Festival Sidewalk Art Show, to be held July 11-13. The Oxford Casino and Suzanne Grover have each donated $500 for a grand total of $1000 for the Best in Show Prize for the Norway Arts Festival Sidewalk Art Show 2013.

  • Lucky in Dance

    LUCKY IN DANCE — Dancers Erin Hamlin and Sasha Campbell are in the front performing Close My Body on April 7 at Art Moves in Norway. In back are Greta Giasson and Charlee Noble. Hamlin and Campbell will be performing in an all-live concert Monday, May 13 at the Magic Lantern in Harrison at 7 p.m. along with singer/songwriters Kristen Short, Kathryn Gardner, Fawn Maness - also on guitar, Rusty Wiltjer on percussion, pianist Anna Sysko and dancer Debi Irons.

  • "Lucky 13"

    BRIDGTON — "Lucky 13" will be presented Monday, May 13 at the Magic Lantern theater in downtown Bridgton. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 and are available at Books N Things in Norway, Bridgton Books and at the door.

  • Spring Band Concert in Bethel

    BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band is excited to perform its spring concert Sunday, May 5 at 4 p.m. at the West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel.

    The band, directed by Patricia Boyle-Wight, is preparing for the summer, music at Waterford’s music celebration July 29, and end of the summer concert Monday, August 13 at 7 p.m. at Gould Academy Bingham Hall in Bethel. The community band has been organized for 15 years and continues to provide music for the communities.

  • Jones Band

    PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will be playing old fashioned dance music at the Legion Hall on Church Street in South Paris, on Saturdays, May 4, 11, 18 and 25, from 7 to 10 p.m. The cost will be $5 for adults so come and have a good time.
  • Telstar to present "Wizard of Oz"

    BETHEL — The Telstar High School Musical Theater Department presents "The Wizard of Oz" on May 9, 10 and 11 at 7 p.m.; there will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on May 11. The show, featuring an all-student cast, crew, and Pit Band, will be held in the Helen C. Berry Auditorium at Telstar Regional High School. Come enjoy this fun, free family entertainment.   • Cohen Chamber Music Series brings world-renowned performers to Hebron

    HEBRON — Hebron Academy is committed to offering enrichment opportunities for its students and the surrounding community. Please join in on Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. for a free and open-to-the public chamber music concert by premier instrumentalists from around the world, featuring virtuoso cellist Jan Muller-Szeraws, violinist Saul Bitran and pianist Sally Pinkas of New England’s esteemed Trio Tremonti. The program will include pieces by Antonín Dvorák, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Robert Shumann.
