PARIS — The South Paris First Universalist Church on Pine Street welcomes Anita White as their guest speaker on November 18. The title of White's sermon for the 10 a.m. service is "Give Thanks In All Things."
Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service. All are welcome and child care is available. The church is wheelchair accessible.
SCC celebrates Veterans Day
Nov 08, 2012 12:00 amNORWAY — Second Congregational Church will celebrate veterans at their 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, November 11.
The English Handbell Choir, under the direction of Elaine Emery, will play a selection of patriotic songs that will entertain and uplift. Veterans, as well as active duty military personnel, and their families are invited to participate as they honor the sacrifices made by those who protect our freedom and security.
Concert to benefit food pantry
Nov 08, 2012 12:00 amNORWAY — The First Universalist Church of Norway will present its annual Harvest Concert in the church sanctuary on Sunday, November 18 at 2 p.m.
This event will feature performances by the Norway UU Choir under the direction of Heather Pierson. Other performers will include Davy Sturtevant and Nate Towne. This concert is a fundraiser for the Oxford Hills Food Pantry.

PARIS — The First Universalist Church on Pine Street will hold a special Veterans' Day worship service with Sarah Glynn as speaker. Glynn is a former member of the United States Navy and current commander of the Foster Carrol American Legion Post in South Paris.
Music is under the direction of Linda Stowell and will include some patriotic selections.

A time of gathering a little closer, join in at the First Universalist Church of West Paris for Sunday service. Services are presented with a combination of guest speakers and Worship Service Committee members. All are welcome to attend; service is at 9 a.m. Refreshments follow the service.
Care, love to Afghanistan
Oct 25, 2012 12:00 amCASCO — Local troops serving in Afghanistan have been receiving "care packages" from the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ throughout the year.
Members of the Mission Committee packaged goodies for the October 3 mailing of boxes to seven different troop locations.
Holiday packages will be sent November 19. The Church invites anyone who would like to add a little something to the boxes or furnish them with the name and address of someone serving, to please stop by the church at 941 Meadow Road (Route 121) in Casco Village.

Community youth event planned
Oct 25, 2012 12:00 amOTISFIELD — The East Otisfield Church, 231 Rayville Road in Otisfield, will be hosting an event for local Otisfield youth on Sunday, October 28 from 4-7 p.m.
All youth ages 11- 15 are invited to come share in an evening of fun, make your own pizzas and plan for future events. In addition to pizza they will have vegetables and dip and other healthy snack foods to much on and beverages.
