VBS held
Aug 02, 2012 12:00 amNORWAY — The Norway Baptist Church family enjoyed a week of Vacation Bible School with family fun for ages five to adults for the week of July 9 to 13. There were 84 registrants and the theme this year was the Wild, Wild West. Charlie and his puppeteers performed each night.
His program offered songs, a missionary story about Hudson Taylor and individual and team competition. A total of $200 was collected to assist two missionary families which the Norway Baptist Church has committed to help supporting.

Grace Fellowship offers Bible school
Jul 26, 2012 12:00 amOXFORD — Pastor Lloyd Waterhouse of Grace Fellowship Church invites area children to a high-flying Vacation Bible School. The theme will be “Sky – Everything is Possible with God.” Vacation Bible School will take place at the Grace Fellowship Church on Poplar Street (off Aspen Avenue) in Oxford.
It will run Monday through Friday, August 6 to 10, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It will be a great week of experiences and fun for children four to 14. Parents are more than welcome to come stay with their children during Bible School hours, if they choose.
Healing your pets
Jul 26, 2012 12:00 amHARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Camp will present Healing Your Pets, with Rev. Penny Frobese, on July 29 at 1 p.m. Spiritual healing is as effective on pets as it is on humans.
Pets’ body language tells when they are not feeling well. Eden, an 11-year old shepherd mix, is beginning to show his age. During this workshop, participants will be asked to practice healing techniques on Eden, individually and as a group. Practitioners of animal communication are welcome to attend.

First Congregational offers Vacation Bible School
Jul 12, 2012 12:00 amSOUTH PARIS — First Congregational Church of South Paris is holding a mini VBS for children ages 7-11 from 9:30-11 a.m. on the following six days: July 17,18, 19 and 31 and August 1 and 2.
VBS is free of charge. Any child in the Oxford County area is welcome to attend. Children do not need to be a member of First Congregational Church to participate. VBS will be held at the Haskell House next door to the Church.
Movie night at Hosanna Church

"Seven Days in Utopia" follows the story of Luke Chisolm (Lucas Black), a talented young golfer set on making the pro tour. When his first big shot turns out to be a very public disaster, Luke escapes the pressures of the game and finds himself unexpectedly stranded in Utopia, TX, home to eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall).
First Congo hosts storyteller, mime
Jul 12, 2012 12:00 amPARIS — The First Congregational Church Youth Group in South Paris, in honor of the Church's 200th anniversary, is hosting Antonio Rocha, storyteller and mime, on Friday July 20 at 7 p.m.
The Youth Group is extending an open invitation, free of charge, to children, teens and adults in Oxford County to attend Antonio's "Moral Tales from Around the World."
A great family evening - you'll laugh, learn and be totally engaged in the age-old stories.
