NORWAY — Join the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Norway on May 12 as their minister, Rev. Fayre Stephenson, gives a Mother’s Day themed service. Like May Day, Mother’s Day has had an interesting and varied history through the centuries. Julia Ward How, a Unitarian and writer of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” wanted the day to be a Mothers’ Peace Day. At this service they’ll take stock of how people regard Mother’s Day and mothering today.
