    NORWAY — The members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. are pleased to announce that Earl Rogers will lead worship on Sunday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Earl, a recent graduate of Andover Newton Theological School, earned his Masters of Divinity in May of 2013.

    NORWAY — Please join the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Norway on June 2 as they welcome the Rev. Kate Braestrup. Kate is a community minister, law enforcement chaplain, and the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, “Here If You Need Me, Marriage and Other Acts of Charity and Beginner's Grace: Bringing Prayer to Life.” Please join in on June 2 at 11 a.m. The church is located at 479 Main St., Norway. Child care is provided and social hour follows the service.

  • Weekend of Spiritual Exploration

    HARTFORD — On May 24, 25 and 26 the Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center in Hartford will offer a weekend of Spiritual exploration with Reverend John Lilek. John is an Ordained Spiritualist Minister, Certified Teacher, Healer and Medium, through the Universal Spiritualist Association. He is also Founder and Director of the Universal Spiritual Ministries Association and Co-pastor of A temple of Love and Light, located in Fort Wayne, IN.

  • Rev. Dick Bennett is part-time interim minister

    NORWAY — The members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. are pleased to welcome Rev. Dick Bennett, who will be working with Rev. Anita White to guide the Second Congregational Church in their interim process. He will begin his interim ministry by leading worship and joining in fellowship time on Music Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m.

    NORWAY — The Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. of Norway, will hold its annual Music Sunday worship service, on Sunday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m. It will be a fabulous service filled with choral music, English hand bells and scriptures.

  • Mother's Day at Second Congregational, Norway

    NORWAY — The members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. are pleased to welcome Rev. Anita Miller White to lead worship and join in fellowship time on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12, at 10 a.m. After serving many churches in Maine, Rev. White, a graduate of Bates College (’67) and a graduate of Bangor Theological Seminary (MDiv’82), comes to Norway as one of their part time interim ministers.

  • Planning for Mother-Daughter Banquet

    NORTH WATERFORD — A Mother-Daughter Banquet will be held at the North Waterford Church on Thursday, May 16, starting at 6 p.m. The menu will include roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, with the dessert a tempting array of different flavors of cupcakes, laid on tiered cake plates as table centerpieces. Even better: the tables will be waited on by the menfolk! Entertainment will be provided by the Terry Sweatt Band, and there will be a raffle for door prizes. Tickets, $15 per person or two for $25, are available by calling 583-2822.

  • Friendship Day May 3

    OXFORD — May Friendship Day will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Oxford Congregational Church on King Street. The title of the program is "Swinging Wide the Doors of Hospitality." All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
