  • Hannan appointed to United Way

    LEWISTON — Oxford Networks is pleased to announce that Dawna Hannan, director of Customer Satisfaction, Regulatory Affairs & Human Resources, has been appointed to the United Way of Androscoggin County Board of Directors.

    Hannan recently celebrated her 30th year of employment with the company and is responsible for regulatory and legislative affairs, human resources and customer satisfaction. She lives in Greene with her husband Mark, step-daughter Nichole and father-in-law Westford. She is a long time supporter of the United Way.

  • Oxford Networks announces new hire

    LEWISTON — Oxford Networks is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Katie Hoskins as inside sales representative. In her new role, Hoskins is responsible for assisting the sales team with identifying prospective customers, sales support services and assisting with new sales initiatives.

    Hoskins holds a B.S in Business Management from Thomas College and is a graduate of the Kennebec Leadership Institute. She serves on the steering committee for KV Connect and most recently worked as the program assistant for the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.

  • New Balance supports fitness program

    OXFORD — New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. donated $2,565 to Oxford Hills School District in order to continue the District's Presidential Fitness Program. This is the forth year that New Balance has fully supported the students' physical fitness efforts.

  • Maine home sales down in May

    SOUTH PORTLAND — According to the Maine Real Estate Information System, Inc. (MREIS) Maine existing home sales declined 28.07% in May 2011, compared with May 2010. The median sales price (MSP) decreased 2.47% to $165,700 in that same time period.

    Nationwide, sales were down 15.4% in May 2011, compared with May 2010. The National Association of Realtors reports a national MSP of $166,500, which is 4.6% below last May’s figures. In the regional Northeast, sales were down 13.5% and the regional MSP decreased 6.1% to $241,500 in that same time period.
