  • Edward Jones financial advisor Speakman wins awards

    SOUTH PARIS — Joel Speakman, of the financial services firm Edward Jones, recently won the firm's coveted Ted Jones Prospecting Award, which recognizes first-year financial advisors who achieve high levels of success. Speakman was one of only 445 of the firm's more than 12,000 brokers to receive the award.

    Jim Weddle, the firm's managing partner, said the award is a strong indicator of a financial advisor's future success.

  • Building Solutions seeks to develop sites

    OXFORD — Building Solutions LLC, a plan/design/build firm of commercial and industrial facilities, is announcing that it seeks to fill eight development sites at Kitty Hawk Business Park in Auburn.

    AUBURN — Agren Appliance assisted the Make-A-Wish Foundation in granting a wish to nine-year-old New Gloucester resident, Cameron. Agren’s donation of a 32” LCD television was part of a surprise package that full-filled Cameron’s wish of an entertainment center in his family’s home. Cameron has been battling leukemia for the past three years.
