Real estate sales increase
Sep 29, 2011 12:00 amSOUTH PORTLAND — Sales of Maine’s single-family existing homes increased 14.74% during the month of August 2011, compared to August 2010, according to the Maine Real Estate Information System, Inc. (MREIS). Home prices decreased 2.8% over the same 12 months to a statewide median sales price (MSP) of $165,000. The MSP indicates that half of the homes were sold for more and half sold for less.

Maine’s credit unions presented contributions to all five of Maine’s Red Cross Chapters’ Emergency Food Relief Funds in honor of 9/11, as well as a food pantry located within each region.

Pre-registration is required. This three-hour workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the USM LAC, LearningWorks.
