  • Shorey receives academic honors

    BOSTON, MA — Northeastern University is pleased to recognize those students who distinguish themselves academically during the course of the school year. Sweden resident Adam Shorey, a Northeastern University student majoring in Chemical Engineering, was recently named to the University's dean's list for the fall semester 2010, which ended in December 2010.

  • Fall in full swing at Apple Pumpkin Fest

    LIVERMORE FALLS – There were some new displays as well as some traditional sights at the Apple Pumpkin Festival this year.
    Saturday's festival had been rescheduled due to rainy weather on its original date two weeks ago. However, this time around the sun shined and the crowds poured in to witness one of the region's largest events.
    The Spruce Mountain Area Robotics Team had two displays.

  • Kiwanis, student council honor staff member

    EUSDEN HONORED — Lydia Eusden, fifth grade teacher at Hebron Station School, is honored as February Staff Member of the Month. From left, student council members Kyli LaBrecque and Kristen Lindstrom; Lydia Eusden; Rick Colpitts, Superintendent of SAD 17 and Ron Kugell, School Board Chair. This is the 11th year of the Staff Member of the Month Program in partnership with the Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club and the 10th year of the Student Council's support of this Program. Maureen Howard, Director of the Oxford Hills Education Exchange, coordinates the Program.

  • OHMS spends an evening at Black Mountain

    WINTER FUN — OHMS students recently teamed up with their "partner in education," Oxford Federal Credit Union to enjoy an evening of free skiing and tubing at Black Mountain. Shown, from left, are OHMS students Kayla White, Brita Anderson and Melanie Gonyon. As part of their school-business partnership, OFCU sponsored the event and provided funding for a bus so that 50 Middle School students could attend.
