  • Progam boosts unfinished students

    AUGUSTA — MCCS President John Fitzsimmons recently announced that the Foundation for Maine’s Community Colleges will receive $725,000 in funding from The Kresge Foundation to improve student success and increase access to higher education in Maine.

  • Cormier returns

    WORCESTER, MA — Cory Cormier of Mechanic Falls, a junior majoring in Civil Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), recently completed an intense, hands-on research project in Hong Kong, China. The project was titled Factors Determining Sustainable Seafood Use in Hong Kong.

    SOUTH PARIS — Robert Miller of South Paris, a Junior at Gettysburg College is spending the Spring 2011 semester studying in Germany. Gettysburg College offers a rich and diverse range of off-campus study abroad opportunities. These programs supplement and enhance regular on-campus courses.

  • Film night planned

    SOUTH PARIS — On Tuesday, May 10 at 7 p.m., the Oxford Hills Advanced Communications class will be hosting its eighth annual Advanced Communications Film Night.

    Class members will show nearly two hours of student films that were produced over the 2010/2011 school year. This event is free to the public but the class will accept donations. For more information, please e-mail Tim Ouillette at timothyouillette@sad17.k12.me.us.
