The Rowe School PTO held its first annual 5K race and walk on Saturday, May 4, at Rowe School. Many people of all ages participated on a beautiful spring day. The top male finisher was Rowe six grade teacher, Justin Stygles, and the top female finisher was Rowe third grade teacher Emily Coye. Congratulations to all of the participants and our PTO for a wonderful event.

Heather Hastings receives Masters degree
May 23, 2013 12:00 amPORTLAND — On Saturday, May 11, Heather Hastings of Norway graduated from University of Southern Maine with a Masters degree in Music Performance (Horn). Heather is a 2006 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and a 2010 Plymouth State University graduate, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. Heather is planning on returning to teaching in the fall. Heather is the daughter of Stephen and Rebecca Hastings.

Three of our Agnes Gray students are very proud of their dad. They are Bradley, Justin and Alexis Richards and are triplets in the second grade at Agnes Gray. Congratulations to their dad Jason Richards who graduated on May 9, from Central Maine Community College in the Business Administration and Management program. Mr. Richards graduated with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society.

May 23, 2013 12:00 amSHOWCASE — Oxford Hills Christian Academy students from Mrs. Henrys' class recite Hebrews 11:1-28 at their recent Showcase Night. Each student picked a person from Hebrews 11 and dressed like that person might have dressed. They also sang and did sign language for, "Father I Adore You." Showcase Night featured many projects, performances and artwork from all our students.

May 23, 2013 12:00 amBUCKFIELD — Audrey Lynn Coffman has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). Audrey resides in Buckfield with her husband Travis and four children.
"NSCS is more than just a symbol of academic achievement. Membership gives students access to a number of amazing benefits, including career and networking resources, scholarships, travel and service projects both on campus and in the community," says Stephen E. Loflin, NSCS founder and chief executive officer.
