Evelyn Beyer
Jan 13, 2011 12:02 amFRYEBURG — Evelyn Beyer died on January 7, 2011. She was born in 1907 in Auburn, NY. She attended schools in Rochester, including the University of Rochester and later New York University in New York City. After working as an assistant Librarian at the college library for a year after graduation, she became an apprentice teacher of preschool children at the Mt. Kemble School in Morristown, NJ, which determined her choice of a career. She found teaching preschool children deeply satisfying and enjoyable.
LF selectmen negotiating contracts

LIVERMORE FALLS — Selectmen met in two closed door sessions following their regular meeting July 2 to discuss labor contract negotiations and to decide whether to grant two property tax abatements.
Town Manager Kristal Flagg said the three-year contract for Local 340, Teamsters Union employees of the Livermore Falls Police Department and public works department expired on June 30, 2012. Monday’s session, whose details cannot be made public until an agreement is made, was a continuation of ongoing discussions.Nancy Kennison Haines

Jan 11, 2011 12:00 amSOUTH PARIS — Robert Charles Jewell, 83, of 394 Paris Hill, South Paris, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on January 8, 2011. He was born on November 14, 1927, in Norway, the son of Howard Jewell and Doris Merrill. He was educated in Paris and served active duty in the United States Navy during World War II.

Jan 06, 2011 12:01 amSOUTH PARIS — Amy E. Kraft, 51, of South Paris, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 of renal failure after battling diabetes for many years. She was born May 13, 1959 in Brockton, MA and grew up in Portland. She moved her own family to Oxford Hills in 1989.
She enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, visiting with friends, and most of all spending quality time with her special granddaughter, MaRissa. She was dainty and quiet, but loved with a very big heart. She dedicated her life to her family.
