  • Ivan "Buddy" Parlin

    NORTH TURNER — Ivan "Buddy" Parlin went home to be with the Lord and his Savior March 30th at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lewiston April 22, 1943, the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Campbell) Parlin. Buddy went to school in South Paris and Monmouth.

    He married Geraldine Fouler in 1962. Buddy and Gerry were married for 33 years and had three children, Penny, Rusty and Cindy.

  • Maurice Arsenault

    NORWAY — Maurice J. Arsenault, 73, of Norway died at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 1, surrounded by his family.

    He was born in Biddeford on Oct. 23, 1937, and came to live in Norway when he was adopted by Felix and Lena (Gaudet) Arsenault when he was 9 years old. He graduated form Norway High School in 1958 and worked with his father in his house-painting business. He later went to work at the Advertiser-Democrat for several years, and retired from Oxford Homes after working there for 17 years.

  • Kathleen S. Holden

    NORWAY- Kathleen S. Holden, 86, of West Paris passed away on Sunday April 3rd . She was born in Bethel on October 25, 1924 the daughter of W. Albert and Stella York Skillings. She attended Gould Academy, graduating with the class of 1944.

    She married Charles W. Holden on March 20, 1948. Kathleen worked at Oxford Hills Veterinary Hospital as a receptionist for 16 years, retiring in 1996. She was a long term member of West Paris Grange #298.

  • Cora L. Dunn

    SOUTH PARIS — Cora Lulu DeCoster Dunn, 88, passed away at Market Square Health Care Center surrounded by her family on March 29, 2011. She was born on June 29, 1922 in Hartford, the daughter of Donald and Mildred (Bonney) DeCoster. She graduated from Buckfield High School in 1940.

  • Esther M. Miller

    WELLS — Esther M. Miller, 100, a longtime resident of Wells died Sunday March 27, 2011 at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center in Norway, Maine with her family by her side. She was born at her home on Wells Beach in Wells, Maine on February 1, 1911 and was the fourth child of Herbert and Ada (Hubbard) Littlefield.

  • Gregory W. Iwans

    Gregory W. Iwans, 49, of Weare, NH died March 31, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH after a long illness.

    He was born in Boston, MA on August 3, 1961 to Gene and Bette (Bartlett) Iwans. He grew up in Franklin, MA and Oxford, ME and lived in Weare for many years.

    Mr. Iwans was a corrections officer at Hillsborough County Correctional Facility in New Hampshire for many years.

    He enjoyed woodworking and architecture. He also invented machinery used in the wire and cable industry.

  • Jesse White

    NORWAY — Jesse White, 18, of Norway fell asleep in Jesus on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. She had suffered lifelong debilitating illnesses and was lovingly cared for by her mother and maternal grandparents with skilled nursing help from Home, Hope and Healing of Smithfield. When hospitalized she was well cared for by her pediatrician, Dr. Steven Blumenthal and the doctors and nurses at the Barbara Bush unit at Maine Medical Center.
