  • Earl W. Lawrence

    AUBURN — Earl W. Lawrence, 82 of Lewiston died Friday at Clover Health Care Center.

    He was born in West Minot, December 27, 1928 the son of Leonard and Grace Leach Lawrence. He graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1948 and faithfully served his country in the Navy.

    On December 17, 1949 he married Dorothy Wood who died June 18, 2002. Earl had been employed as a machinest in New Jersey and retired from Tampax in Auburn. While working for Tampax they sent him to Ireland to help set up other plants.

    WEST PARIS — Penelope R. Wall, 70, of West Paris died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 19, 1940, the daughter of Gertrude and Ivers B. Wall. She graduated from Bryant Stratton College in Williamsville, NY with a Degree in Business Management. She had been employed as a legal secretary for many years. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed many summers working at Camp Skylemar in Naples.

    WEST PARIS — Helen A. Aumento, 87, of West Paris died March 19, 2011 at Ledgeview Living Center. She was born in Owega, NY on March 30, 1923, the daughter of Claude and Lena Wittling Schrauger. She had been a homemaker all of her life.

  • F. Paul Gavin, Sr.

    MASON, NH — F. Paul Gavin, Sr., 72, of Mason, NH, died May 7, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Barre, VT on September 7, 1938, a son of Francis P. and Mary A. (Donahue) Gavin. He was raised and educated in Vermont and had been a resident of Mason, NH for the past 32 years and also resided part-time in Norway.

    Mr. Gavin earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Norwich University, Class of 1960 and attended the University of Vermont for two years.
