    AUBURN — Graveside services for Rodney W. Winslow will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.

  • Brenda M. Dyke

    BETHEL — Brenda Marie Dyke, 67, of Bethel, died Saturday evening, June 11, 2011 at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Bridgton, January 2, 1944, the daughter of Herbert F. and Marie Tremble Barker. She had been employed in a local shoe shop, Newton and Tibbetts Woodmill in West Bethel, as a babysitter, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ring-McKeen American Legion Auxiliary in West Paris and a member of the 4-H. On August 25, 1961 she married Ronald Dyke; he passed away October 6, 2005.

    MECHANIC FALLS — John A. Frankovis, 71, of Mechanic Falls died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Hospice House in Auburn. He was born in Michigan on March 30, 1940, the son the George and Mary Lennox Frankovis. He graduated from high school in Wisconsin and worked for many years as a customer service representative for the Home Shopping Network in Florida. He was a member of the American Post #150 in Mechanic Falls.

    Mr. Frankovis is survived by his wife, Debbie Anderson, of Mechanic Falls.

  • Dorothy (Record) Slattery

    WATERFORD, CT — Dorothy (Record) Slattery, 77, of Waterford, CT died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Portland August 27, 1933, the daughter of Carlton and Bernice (Thurlow) Record. She worked for many years with the elderly nutrition program in Waterford and East Lyme, CT.  Her greatest joys were time spent with family and being at her camp in Maine.

    PARIS — Carol Ann Patten, 60, of South Paris, died Tuesday, June 7 at her home with her children by her side.

    She was born in Saco on September 20, 1951 the daughter of Bill and Lorraine Mason. She had been employed at the Maine Veterans Home on High Street in South Paris for 14 years. She married Charles Patten, Sr. on November 8, 1969. She loved spending time at her camp in Greenwood and cookouts with her children and grandchildren.

  • John T. Conner

    WATERFORD — John T. Conner, 64, of Waterford, formerly of Windham, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at his home. He was born in Westbrook on May 28, 1947, the son of Charles M. and Lillian G. Manchester Conner. He faithfully served our country in the U. S. Army from 1966 to 1969. In his younger years he had been employed as a plumber.

    Mr. Conner is survived by his daughter, Robin E. Dekutoski; his grandchildren, Elise L. Dekutoski and Trey E. Dekutoski and his brothers, Charles W. Conner, William A. Conner, Daniel M. Conner and James E. Conner.

  • Therna Myers Sanborn

    TAPPAHANNOCK, VA — Therna Myers Sanborn, 88, died on June 2, 2011 at the Essex House in Tappahannock, VA. She was born in Sumner on January 16, 1923, the daughter of Patrick J. and Inza Russell Myers, who preceded her in death. She graduated from the University of Maine. She taught at Kennett High School in Conway, NH and in Poughkeepsie, NY before joining the faculty of St. Margaret’s School in Tappahannock in 1960 where she taught history until her retirement in 1989.

  • Fred H. Tibbetts

    LEWISTON — Fred Homer Tibbetts, 88, formerly of Bethel, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at Marshwood Nursing Home. He was born in Bethel on March 12, 1922, the son of Fred and Louisa Ellen Cummings Tibbetts. He attended Gould Academy and Utility Engineering School for Mack Motors in Chicago. He was a Purple Heart recipient while serving our country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He had been employed as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists.
