J. Roger Ketchum
Jun 23, 2011 12:00 amNORWAY — J. Roger Ketchum, 78, of Norway died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Bowdoinham on June 14, 1933, the son of John R. and Esther Quirke Ketchum. He graduated from Morse High School in Bath where he recently celebrated his 60th reunion. He served our country in the U. S. Navy. He married Rosalie Duclos on September 22, 1956.

Jun 23, 2011 12:00 amGREENSBORO, NC — Gertrude Nellie Titus Smith Carroll passed away June 15, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born July 15, 1912 in Bryant Pond to Leroy and Eva Titus. The family later moved to South Paris, where she lived until 1981. She then lived in Saco, Chattanooga, TN and Greensboro, NC, where she resided until her death.

She was born on December 18, 1925 in Minot to Otto and Helena (Kivimaki) Raasumaa. She graduated from Paris High in 1944 then continued her education at Household Nursing Assoc. in Boston, graduating in 1946. She was a nurse for many years working at Boston Registry of Visiting Nurses, Norwood Hospital and Maple Grove Manor in Norwood, MA; she retired in 1988.
