Aug 18, 2011 12:00 amRUMFORD — Funeral services for Earl L. Marr, Jr., of Rumford, were conducted on Thursday evening, August 11, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford, with Fr. Phil Tracy officiating.
Music selections were “On Eagle’s Wings” and “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Words of remembrance were given by his son, Danny Marr.
A reception followed at the home of his daughter, June and John Giambattista.

He was born in Alfred on January 7, 1924, the son of William Clyde and Myrtle Call Kingsbury. He was raised and educated in Sanford. He graduated from Sanford High School and joined the Army Air Corp. While in the Army Air Corp.

He was born in Woodstock on July 31, 1933, the son of Benjamin W. and Bertha A. Wilson. He attended Bethel and Woodstock schools. He was a self employed mechanic and woodsman. He operated a bulldozer, drove truck and worked doing auto body repair and painting. He enjoyed gardening.

She was born in Norway on August 11, 1951, the daughter of Ralph and Bertha Rouse Bonney. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1970 and attended the University of Maine. She married Brian Fortier on June 28, 1969. She had been employed as a C.A.C.F.P. for Androscoggin Head Start. She enjoyed attending craft fairs and spending time with her grandsons.
