    SOUTH PORTLAND — Natalie Nelson Rice, 89, of South Portland, formerly of West Paris, died peacefully September 20, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was born July 7, 1922 in Portland, the daughter of Harold Clayton Perham and Phyllis Diantha Williams-Perham. She was the first of 13 children. She was a 1940 graduate of West Paris High School and attended Business School in Portland specializing as a Secretary.

    OXFORD — Paul M. Heaward, 63, of, Oxford passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home. He was born in Leeds on July 26, 1948, the son of James and Laura Bennett Turcotte Heaward. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School and completed sprinkler fitters training program through Penn State University. He worked at Robinson Manufacturing in his teens and early 20s. Then he worked for Local 669 UA for 32 years, working for Automatic Sprinkler, Grinnell Fire and Dean and Allyn Fire Protection. He married Brenda Knightly on December 14, 1985.

    NORWAY — Scott M. Westberry, Sr., 46, of Norway passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born in Germany to Allen, Sr. and Maryjane (Munro) Westberry on June 14, 1965. He worked at various restaurants as a cook and recently at Camp Waziatah in Waterford.

    He loved to fish and hunt and had a hobby of junking. He was a wonderful father and husband.

    SOUTH PARIS — Matthew M. Kimball, 39, of South Paris died unexpectedly September 26, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Bridgton on September 29, 1971, the son of William and Muriel Lapham Kimball. He attended Waterford elementary school and Oxford Hills High School. He grew up on the family farm working in the butcher shop with his brother Wade and father Bill. He learned various trades working with brothers-in-law Jeff Hadley, Tom LeBlanc and Bernard Wakefield.

    AUBURN — Sylvia M. Ashby, 77, of Bolster Heights Care Facility in Auburn for the past eight years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was born in Richmond on January 4, 1934, the daughter of John and Harriett Grover Bixby. She attended Richmond Schools and later received her diploma in 1990 from Oxford Hills High School.
