    ENFIELD CENTER, NH — Laura M. (Wormwood) Poire, formerly of South Paris, passed away on March 15, 2013 at her residence in Enfield Center, NH, with her loving husband Ron by her side.

    She was born on July 13, 1964, in Saco, to the late John and Arline Wormwood of South Paris. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School and was soon after employed as a CNA at Andrews Nursing Home and in the Home Health field. She later moved to New Hampshire and married Ronald Poire on September 18, 2004, and found employment at Ames Department Store and EBA's.

  • Milton R. Seekins

    WATERVILLE — Milton R. Seekins, 80, of Waterville passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta. He was born in Palmyra on April 10, 1932, son of Donald and Thelma (Mathews) Seekins. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked many years in the shoe industry as a stitching room machinist.

    He was a member of the American Legion. He loved hunting, fishing and fixing antique radios. He liked playing pool and spending time at camp in Hartland on Indian Pond.

    MERIDEN, CT — Priscilla Ballou Rice (Polly) died at home on March 22, 2013 from a brief illness, one month after celebrating her 100th birthday with family and friends.

    Born in Dorchester, MA on February 22, 1913, she was the daughter of Murray and Grace (Smith) Ballou. After graduating from Simmons College in 1937 with a degree in Social Work, she worked at the Newburyport, MA YWCA. In 1940 she moved to Meriden, CT with her husband John.

    EAST POLAND — Gaylen Kilgore, 80, of East Poland died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Hospice House in Auburn. He was born in South Paris on October 12, 1932, the son of Ralph and Minnie Hill Kilgore. He attended schools in Paris and Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Pauline Perrier in September of 1955 and they had three children, G. Michael, Pamela and Daniel.

    PARIS — Merle F. Glines, 90, of South Paris, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Maine Medical Center in Portland with his family by his side. He was born in Norway January 10, 1923, the son of Edwin and Emma Dunham Glines. He graduated from Norway High School and attended sign school in Boston. He served in the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He married Marlene (Molly) Roderick on November 16, 1961.

  • Kimberly A. Weeks Schroeder

    LEWISTON — Kimberly A. Weeks Schroeder, 51, of Pine Street in Lewiston, passed away on the morning of Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her residence. Formerly a social worker at DHS, she was a humanitarian and animal lover with a big heart.

    Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, her parents and two sisters.

    A service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 11 at Chase Cemetery in Windham.
