Feb 07, 2013 12:00 amWEST PARIS — Janis Buck, 72, of West Paris died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her home. She was born in Hiram on July 28, 1940, the daughter of Jere and Elizabeth Whitman Cox. She grew up in North Norway and attended Swifts Corner School in North Norway and Norway Junior and Senior high School.
She worked in the Norway shoe factories and married Edward Buck. They moved to West Paris where she was a homemaker all her life.

She was born in Richmond, VA on February 13, 1977, daughter of Morris and Gwendolyn (Johnson) Swann. She loved watching movies, going out to dinner and Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Ms. Swann is survived by her parents; her significant other, Joe Bonney; her daughter, Darj’s Swann; three brothers, Joseph, Juma and Jamil Swann and a sister, Gessika Dodson.

Mrs. Place was born October 2, 1932, in South Portland, to the late Axel and Sarah Brown. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed golf and was a member of Rainbow's End Golf Club in Dunnellon, FL.
