    MEXICO — Funeral services for Millicent M. Mann of Mexico were conducted on Sunday, February 10, at the Mexico Congregational Church, Mexico, with Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash officiating. Pianist was Mrs. Jo-Ellen Winslow. Music selections included “In The Garden,” “Whispering Hope” and “Some Glad Morning.” Ringing of the church bell was done by Mrs. Karen Barrett. Poems were read by Brittney and Shelly Mann. Pallbearers were Kent Mann, Jr., Eric Mulkern, Aaron Dawson, John Randy Mann, Arthur Allen and Scott Tibbetts.

    HARRISON — Gloria Elise (Mullen) Batchelder passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2013 in Harrison at the home of her daughter, Lenita Andrews, where she resided.

    She was born in Norway on March 17, 1932 to Jasper and Florence (Truman) Mullen. She graduated from Norway High School. She married Everett Batchelder on August 11, 1951; they were married almost 61 years before his death on April 5, 2012.

    SUMNER — Larry Litchfield, Sr. of Sumner cashed in his chips after a long illness on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway surrounded by the love of his family. The eldest son of the late Walter and Carolyn Morrill Litchfield, he was born on January 12, 1940 and raised and educated in Weymouth, MA. He moved to Maine in 1965. Many people also knew him as Big Lars or “Dancing Bear,” and no local dance or celebration was complete without his performance of “Walking the Dog.”
