    DIXFIELD — Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Joseph N. Roy of Rumford, were conducted Friday, May 17, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield with his son Jeffrey Roy officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, P. O. Box 537, Rumford.

    MECHANIC FALLS —   Joan M. Pike, 76, of Mechanic Falls passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her home with her family. She was born in Boston, MA on September 9, 1936, the daughter of James and Mildred Shepard Robinson. She graduated from Randolph High School and Boston University. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Saunders Florist in Lewiston for 29 years. She also worked at Cumberland Farms in Mechanic Falls.

    SUMNER — Christine M. Ayer, 70, of Sumner, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep in the early hours of the new dawn, Monday, May 13, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Lewiston on August 28, 1942, the daughter of Irving and Hazel Burnham Darling. She grew up in the Sabattus/ Lewiston area and attended schools there; she later furthered her education and received her GED as well as graduating from UM at Lewiston with a degree in Business Administration.

    ANDOVER — Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Mills of Andover were conducted Wednesday, May 8, at the Andover Congregational Church in Andover. Officiating were Rev. Jane Rich and Pastor Kenneth Wagstaff. Organist was Mrs. Linda Dyer.

    Music selections included “In The Garden” and “Amazing Grace.” “I’ll Meet You In The Morning” was sung by the church choir. Special music sung by pianist Linda Dyer were “I Believe” and “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”

    MEREDITH, NH — Mary McDonald Davis, RN, of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Meredith, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 28, 2013. She was born on June 11, 1943 in Portland, daughter of the late Howard and Louise (Metcalf) McDonald.
